Bodycam Video Shows Arrest of Woman Parked in a Handicap Space at Walmart

Senatobia, Mississippi — On May 11, 2025, at approximately 10:16 a.m. A patrol officer with the Senatobia Police Department observed a black sedan with a TN tag pull onto the Walmart parking lot and park in a handicap parking place. The officer made contact with the driver and asked if the handicap placard that was in the car belonged to her. The driver of the vehicle stated that she dropped her grandmother off, however the officer who observed the vehicle from the time it pulled into the parking lot and parked did not observe anyone exit the vehicle.

The officer also observed that the front passenger seat had multiple items in it making it unlikely that someone would be able to sit there. The officer then observed several young juveniles that were not secured properly in their seats. The officer then asked for the driver's identification. After several requests by the officer, the driver began cursing at the officer while shuffling through her car. The officer then asked the driver to step out of the vehicle several times and the driver refused to comply with what was a lawful order and also pulled away when the officer grabbed her arm.

Once out of the car the driver became passively resistant by going limp and going to the ground. The driver then actively resisted while the officer attempted to handcuff her. During this time multiple citizens gathered around the officer and made derogatory statements while the officer struggled to get the driver into custody. Once handcuffed, other officers arrived and assisted with placing the driver into a patrol car and checking her for injuries. The driver, Breshari Faulkner was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Handicap parking violation. The Senatobia Police Department receives numerous handicapped parking complaints weekly.
