Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends With Suspects Hiding in Dumpster

Atlanta, Georgia — On January 24th, 2025, around 10:40pm, the APD A.C.E. Unit was alerted to a stolen vehicle and requested the Aviation Unit's assistance in tracking the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was traveling in the area of Peachtree St and Pine St. A.C.E. units located the vehicle and attempted to maintain a visual as it traveled down Peachtree St. The vehicle attempted to flee both APD and assisting GSP units. GSP continued to pursue the stolen vehicle. GSP conducted a successful PIT maneuver on the vehicle and three suspects attempted to elude law enforcement on foot.

The Phoenix Air Unit called out the location and direction of travel on the foot pursuit. One of the suspects who remained in the vehicle was immediately taken into custody. Two other suspects continued to flee on foot. Both attempted to hide from officers inside a nearby dumpster. The Air Unit led officers to the dumpster, where the suspects were hiding, and they were both taken into custody without incident. The stolen vehicle, two firearms, a duty belt, and other miscellaneous items were recovered. The investigation remains active.

- Kobe Demarcus Johnson
Charges: Entering Auto, Theft by Taking, Criminal Trespass
- Alonzo Longmire
Charges: Entering Automobile, Theft by Taking, Criminal Trespass
- Keonte Heard
Charges: Entering Auto, Criminal Trespass
