'You're wrong': David Lammy told JD Vance Henry Nowak's death had nothing to do with mass migration

Speaking to Sky News, deputy prime minister David Lammy revealed that he spoke to the US vice president JD Vance following his intervention about the murder of Henry Nowak.

In a post on X, US Vice President JD Vance blamed "the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants" for his murder.

"I disagree with him," says Lammy. "This has got nothing to do with mass migration. This young man was a Brit. Let's be clear about that."

He adds: "and I said, "look, Mr Vice President, you're wrong about this."
