Treasury Committee questions prominent voices within the education sector on student loans, including the author of the 2019 independent review of higher education, Sir Philip Augar.

MPs will hear from experts on student loans. These witnesses are likely to be asked about their views on the current system, including all existing and historic loans, and any assessments they’ve made on its fairness.

This will be followed by a second panel made up of prominent student advocate groups. They will be questioned on the impact of student debt on students and graduates, as well as how they believe the system should change.
