There’s no way the deal between the US and Iran will be done within the timeframe Trump keeps projecting, Charles Kupchan, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, told Al Jazeera.
“There’s no way they’re going to get this done in 60 days. I think we’re talking about at least into the next calendar year,” he said.

“And, to be honest with you, I would not be surprised if both Iran and the United States run out the clock. That is to say, they keep talking, they keep negotiating, and the Strait of Hormuz is open, but there is no final deal even by the end of the Trump administration. That outcome would not surprise me at all.”
