Police in Kenya have fired teargas and arrested dozens of protesters. The demonstrators were marking two years since a youth uprising, where more than sixty people were killed by security forces. Tens of thousands of Kenyans took to the streets in June 2024 against proposed tax increases, high living costs and corruption. On Thursday, groups of dozens marched in Nairobi in commemoration, outnumbered by heavy deployment of police.

Al Jazeera's Malcolm Webb reports.
