US President Donald Trump has met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House. Rutte is visiting the US two weeks before the annual summit of the military alliance to be held in Turkiye and as the Pentagon reviews the size of the US military footprint in Europe. Trump has long been critical of NATO and expressed his disappointment with allies over their handling of the war on Iran.
