A powerful earthquake in the southern Philippines has killed at least 35 people.
Several buildings collapsed in the magnitude 7.8 tremor, which was centered off the coast of Mindanao - the country's second most populous island.
The quake triggered tsunami warnings across the region which were later cancelled.

Al Jazeera’s Barnaby Lo reports from Manila, Philippines.
