Oil prices have fallen by nearly 5% following the announcement of an imminent peace deal between the United States and Iran.

Despite concerns that conflict in the region could trigger a major energy shock, markets have remained relatively stable. President Donald Trump claimed on social media that "ships are starting to move" through the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping route for global oil supplies.
