CNN's Whitney Wild reports that Vance Luther Boelter, 58, agreed to a deal with federal prosecutors Thursday, avoiding the death penalty. Boelter killed former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and, in a separate shooting, wounded Minnesota State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife.
