New guidance issued by the Government makes it clear that trans-women should be barred from female toilets, changing facilities and sports teams. The updated advice follows the Supreme Court ruling in April last year that 'sex means biological sex'.

On tonight's show, Matt Barbet is joined by CEO of charity Sex Matters and Trans Rights Lead at the Good Law Project, Jess O'Thomson.

Andrew Lownie, Royal historian and biographer, also joins Matt to discuss new documents released today, which show the late Queen pushed for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to take on the Trade Envoy role.

The UK Tonight will dig into the issues people across the country are talking about and explain and analyse the news stories they need to know in a dynamic hour of domestic news.
