US Central Command (CENTCOM) says its “forces began launching self-defense strikes against Iran."
It added that the attacks were in response to “yesterday’s downing of a US Army Apache helicopter."
Iran’s Mehr news agency reports that residents and sources in Sirik Port and its surrounding villages heard multiple explosions in the area this evening.
