President Donald Trump marked his 80th birthday at a UFC event, surrounded by a younger crowd that highlights a growing generational gap in American politics.

The United States has some of the oldest political leaders in the world, with the average age of senators now in the mid-60s and many of the country's most powerful politicians well beyond retirement age.
